“David” is in his late 40’s and works for a local software company. His job has him travelling quite a bit, and 6 years ago he began having low back pain after these trips. After several attempts at various therapies, a co-worker encouraged David to see us. After a manual assessment and x-ray of his low back, I discovered a spondylolysthesis (spondy for short) at his L5 vertebra. This was a very important diagnosis, as spondy’s require special care from both myself and from David throughout his life. Adjusting his sacrum, just below the level of the spondy, relieves compression and keeps him pain free for 6-8 weeks at a time. Most importantly to David, as he puts it, is that he is able to do his job pain-free and enjoy his leisure time as well.
